The Raw Me is Good

It is awful enough that hackers are trying to put a false persona of me out there, why should I do it too. I was greeted this morning with a message on fb "Someone from a unrecognized remote spot tried to log onto your account. Please verify whether it was you or not." No it was not me, so then I had to go through the process of changing passwords and such. However, then I began to think how do I know this isn't a hack. All of this is making us all untrusting on so many levels. Do we really know what or who to believe. I no longer do fb messaging because I have had so many conversations with false people, (friend's accounts are being hacked). What is the purpose of presenting yourself as someone else, really?

I recall a popular movie from my past..."Sybil". This movie was about a young lady who suffered from multiple personalities. Back then this was seen as an illness. In some circles this issue continues to be seen as an illness.
What is amazing are the millions of people who go undiagnosed. We connect with them on a daily basis. Through the social media, we present ourselves as crazy party goers, we are hard workers, and we are sneaks who get away with being at work and not doing anything. There are the Holy rollers, the fire and brimstones shooters. We are sexy, smooth, "can't touch this", and “won't touch that" kind of people. We are high stepping, living the dream, slapping them high and sitting them down. Or are we?

Truth be told we are home bodies, family ignoring, and lonely sad creatures. Searching.....searching for someone to follow us, like us, share what we have posted. We are "Sybil".
The above statement puts it out there, "We don't have a choice on whether we DO social media, and the question is how well we DO it"? Why must we present ourselves as lies, and human propaganda?
We are each wonderfully made by God. The God I serve doesn't make mess, but, creates perfection. Perfection in every curve, every rugged edge, every smooth surface. Perfection in every shade of the rainbow. Somehow, we have strayed from the path of how precious life is and how important it is that we show love towards each other.  NOT towards the false representation of ourselves, that fantasy land we have created to be our alter reality. Crap even the reality shows aren't real.
We need to get back to our raw selves, the one’s God created. Personally, I have moods, and attitudes. I am a passionate, and caring person. I believe in God, and I like to laugh until I cry.

In this book I read, God says you need to love me the way you love yourself. Hmmm...maybe that is the issue, the core we need to look at, have we created these personas because we do not love who we really are, the raw us?

God’s Love is “UNCONDITIONAL”. If the raw me is good enough for God, it is good enough for me.

Walk in love not hate!

I fell apart, lost it, and  was not going to take another step. I had planned my life, saw it clearly in vivid color in my mind’s eye. I  knew how many children, I was going to have  a boy, a girl, and a boy.  Well first I said ok God when I had a boy, and then another boy. I was willing to go with the flow, this was not my plan but ok. Then turned out the second boy became birth control, I decided no more children passing from this womb, it might be another boy. Wait, don’t go there I love my now men dearly. Had fun in our growing, we had more adventures than Peter Pan.  But, the second boy was a handful, a challenge to my spirit, so I decided to wave the white flag.

My plan, “my plan” I laugh at the thought of those two words. We think we are in charge of our life, making plans. Laying out blueprints of how and when things are going to happen.  Then a bump in the road happens and we fall apart. The way we pictured the event unfolding did not occur and we become upset. I hit that bump, yes, fell apart. Then not over night, no this was not like turning on a switch, or waving some magic wand. But, I was able to see a new light.  First, we need to understand we do not have that much control, there may be a heart’s desire, a vision of where we see ourselves. But, the plans have been set. Then, there are those moments, those times when God does not make us aware of the plan. Maybe, because we are being tested to see if we can handle things on the fly. Maybe we are being tested to see how flexible we can be on the run.

Why must life be a series of rigid plans and moments? "Married by 25, two children by 30." "C.E.O. by 26, married by 30." Sometimes life just doesn't line up the way your vision laid everything out. Who says that your vision was the best plan for you anyway?

The greatest vision,
the most useful plan is to walk in Faith. To follow the path set before you. Yes, the road may not be the smoothest, or the path may not be the one which leads straight to the goal. However, you will never be given more than you can handle. Those obstacles placed on the path, use them for strength building. See the struggles as reasons for praise when you keep moving and make it to the other side.

When we see that someone or some situation is not good for us, why do we continue to fight to keep that person or situation in our lives? Yet, those who love us, those who support us, we take for granted, and give very little attention. Those situations which we do not see as worthy of our time we tend to not give our best efforts. If we take the time to look deeply at what our human minds call
“little moments” we may find those are the moments of our purpose.

Life is a Faith walk, a walk of belief in a God who holds the master plan for our lives. Walk in the knowing that things will work out the way they are meant to be. Know, God works things out for the good of those who believe, those who have faith.

So, understand that sometimes the "crap" you decided to pick up on your own needs to be kicked to the curb. The bad situations you have placed yourself in, kick rocks to those as well. If God says turn right, then turn right. Yes, you may try to look ahead and only see darkness. Turn right anyway, because you may just be staring at
a door which is about to be opened.

Take back your POWER!

Dear Shadow,

I have come to acknowledge you, to thereby remove any power you have held over me. My prayer has been that the light of God would overtake you, yes destroy you. My impression was that you were trying to destroy me. I address you today to say, I forgive you. I now understand you. Instead of praying to God for the demise of you, I pray and welcome God’s light to engulf me, so that there is no space for you. Overtake me Lord with your light, that there is no vacancy in the realm of power given to shadow any longer.

Why you may ask am I taking this thought: If I continue to despise you, to fear you, to worry about you, I am only giving you power. I am giving you the power to torment me, the power to set negativity in motion within the very atmosphere where I have lost myself. Instead I choose to find myself in the light.

So shadow know, I will always remember you. You are engraved in me. Every time I fear opening up and hide feelings in fear of upsetting someone else, I'll remember you. Every time I constantly apologize for something even if it had nothing to do with me, I'll remember you. Every time I break down during small disagreements thinking it will explode to something bigger, I'll remember you. Every time I think that I am not worthy, or that I am alone, I will remember you.

The power I have given you has caused me to suffer at my own doing. You came to do more good than harm, probably without your knowing. So I am grateful, because of you I am stronger.  I am grateful, because of you I have found that I am worthy of more. I am grateful, because of you I have discovered that my thoughts matter, that I matter. My palate has grown, I now seek love, joy, I seek kindness, and I seek an environment of positivity. So thank you shadow for your part in my growth. Thank you for the peace I have found in acceptance.

hmmm... Happy New Year

As we came to the close of 2017, I viewed posts and I listened as this one and that one declared the cutting off of relationships and situations. True if there was something or someone who served no purpose in your life, let it go. However, realize relationships are what shapes who we are on this journey. Those connections are important to our existence. God did not create us to be in a vacuum, but created us to be connected to others and to him. There is someone who needs to hear your story. There is someone who needs to hear that you made it through, and how you did not give up even though you may have struggled. There is someone who will speak to your spirit words of encouragement right when you need to hear it. But this will not happen if you wrap yourself in bubble wrap and exist in fear or in a realm of seclusion.
So as you sit and contemplate resolutions of shedding pounds, and such that will probably last maybe a good 3 months. How about making 2018 a purpose to connect. A purpose to pay attention to who is being placed on your path. Make it your purpose to listen to their story, and to share your story. Make it your purpose to be blessed and be a blessing.
Think about it....
Be Blessed!
